The Canadian Society for Evolving Energy.
WE INFORM. WE ENGAGE. WE COLLABORATE.
The Canadian Society for Evolving Energy is a not-for-profit society addressing issues around Canada’s Evolving Energy Sector. This sector includes many of our traditional sources, such as natural gas, as well as the emerging sectors such as Hydrogen, Helium, Lithium, Hydrothermal and Carbon Capture Technologies. Our membership is extremely diverse and includes; industry, government, academic institutions, financial organizations, first nations, technical consultants and other associations.
We organize and host technical workshops, seminars, conferences, and other events that engage our members, and inform them of current technical, regulatory, and business developments.
These events foster collaboration, knowledge sharing and integration of ideas between multiple disciplines. We are the leading Canadian source of factual, unbiased technical information on the development of these resources.
We also involve the public – both directly and indirectly, through in person stakeholder sessions, as well as our critically acclaimed Massive Open Online Course (MOOC) entitled: “The 21st Century Energy Transition; How do we make it work”. This undertaking, done in collaboration with the University of Alberta and Coursera, is a major initiative designed to elevate the public’s understanding around the complex issues facing society as transition to a Lower Carbon world.
