Society Holds Successful BC Day

CSEE welcomed Senior representatives from both the BCMELCI and BCER. Over 145 attendees participated in this event. As in previous years, CSEE welcomed BC Government representatives for a full day in-person session in Calgary. The objective was to provide the industry with a review of key updates from 2022 and to look ahead to activities, programs & pending changes this coming year. Delegates from both the BC Ministry for Energy, Mines & Low Carbon Innovation (EMLI) and the BC Energy Regulator (BCER – previously BC Oil & Gas Commission or BC OGC) were present during this event. CSEE Outreach Q1 Update

CSEE Outreach Update March 1st, 2023 Regular Outreach activities were a bit slower than usual through 2022, working through re-openings after COVID, and with most of our efforts dedicated to production of the Energy Transitions MOOC. However, activity is picking up as we are talking about Energy Transition in many different forums, as well as presenting on our old favourites – Unconventional Resources and Environmental Implications and Unconventionals – and new topics, particularly helium and lithium exploration. In Q4 2022 and Q1 2023, CSEE Outreach addressed: University of Alberta Petroleum Engineering SAIT MacPhail School of Energy West Central Stakeholders
